About Jared

Thank you for taking the time to read this page. You may be here wondering whether I could support you with something difficult or important in your life. I’ll do my best to offer a sense of how I work, even without knowing the particulars of your situation.

I love working as a psychotherapist. It has been an honor to accompany hundreds of people as they orient their lives toward greater clarity, steadiness, and relief from suffering. I strive to meet everyone with respect, presence, and compassion.

I’ve been practicing psychotherapy/counselling for over a decade and have been working in Ireland since 2020. I trained at the Smith College School for Social Work, known for its psychodynamic depth and commitment to social justice. I’ve also received training in CBT, DBT, Gestalt, narrative therapy, and Gottman Method couples therapy. My approach is integrative, meaning therapy is shaped around you and your circumstances rather than confined to a single model.

Mindfulness has been central to my work and life for over two decades. I trained to teach meditation with Tara Brach, a pioneer in incorporating therapy into meditation. I later held a counselling fellowship at the Insight Meditation Society, where I worked with some of the world’s leading mindfulness teachers. These experiences continue to inform how I listen and how I people incline towards insight, perspective, and meaningful change in their lives.

I’m accredited with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). If you’re considering therapy, you’re very welcome to be in touch.
